Can you believe that for one minute Sandra Bullock would have thought about giving up her acting career? This coming after her oscar win for her part in “The Blind Side” when her husband at the time, now ex-husband Jesse James, blindsided her by cheating with several women.
She was so heartbroken after the split and taking on being a new mom to baby Louis that she was perfectly fine with just that in her life. The thought of going back to acting was not even there for her until Stephen Daldry offered her a part in “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.
A source quoted her as saying: “I was perfectly content to be permanently broken … I honestly didn’t think I was in a place where I wanted to work or wanted to step out of where I was. I wasn’t prepared. But the opportunity was louder than my head.”
However Bullock was delighted that Daldry came to her with the part. This was the little push she needed to get back into the groove and what a part to play for a come-back. She plays the mother of a child that lost her father, played by Tom Hanks, dies in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
I am sure glad that Sandra came back to the big screen because Hollywood would have lost out on a phenomenal future with all that Bullock brings to the table.
